Problem

The contact page currently has very poor usability because it does not align with the original user need, which was:

“We need a new entity in the system that enables users to share their profiles and store contacts in a way that lets them create a ‘web of trust’ (Horacio & Alex on Linear).”

Additionally, the action of adding a contact seems somewhat useless to users because the profile information displayed is minimal and uninteresting, it only shows who that contact has added, rather than providing meaningful information about the individual or the organization.

    Solution

      Improve Profile Display

Change the items displayed in the profile to better reflect what users actually find important (subscribers, collaborators, "added contacts").

          Clarify "Add Contact" vs. "Subscribe"

Identify the key differences between adding a contact and subscribing.

Explore whether these two actions can be unified under a single, clearer term.

Rename "Add a Contact" to "Follow"

Replacing “Add a contact” with “Follow” may better represent the intended user action and improve engagement.
